Legend
The legend helps identify and explain the different elements in your plot. You can fully customize its appearance, position, and contents.
- Click the Overlays button in the toolbar
- Select Legend... from the menu
- A settings panel will appear to the right with legend editing options
When you open the Legend settings, edit mode is automatically enabled:
- Click on any element in the plot (points, lines, or areas) to add it to the legend
- Each item will appear with its corresponding symbol, line, or area style
- Items are added in the order you click them
- The legend appears with a dashed outline indicating it's in edit mode
In the Legend settings panel, you can:
- Clear Legend - Remove all items at once
- Reset Position - Return the legend to its default position and size
- Done - Exit edit mode and close the settings panel
Note, selected items in the legend are linked to those in the plot. If you change the appearance of the item, it will change automatically in the legend as well. If you remove the item, the legend entry will remain but without a marker.
